Sky joins BBC in banning Gaza appeal

Hamas is a Sunni terrorist organisation, and the Arabs in Gaza voted them in, thus approving of their terrorism. So why would anybody in the West want to help Hamas restore order, never mind feed them? Why would you want to help them rebuild any housing or tunnels?

The advertisement, by the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), asks for donations for Palestinian Arabs left without homes, food, water or medicine after 22-days of retribution by the Israel Defence Forces after Hamas’ incessant but pointless rocket firing. I compare it to having someone spit at you. You ask them to stop—yet they keep spitting at you. It may not hurt you, but it’s not pleasant. You warn them what you’ll do if they don’t—they respond by more spitting. Finally, you punch them in the nose, hard. They stop. Now bystanders appeal on behalf of this lout for a supply of a hanky to stench the blood. My reaction is to tell them to sod off!

I consider Hamas and those poor civilians as one and the same. Dump Hamas, and I would be only to happy to have DEC give them help—not otherwise.

This ‘charitable’ appeal has Tony Benn and George Galloway standing outside the BBC demonstrating against their spot on decision not to help Hamas, and in my view, the ‘charities’ have got into bed with the Trotskyites like Benn and Galloway, to help Arab terrorism aimed at the Western ‘infidel.’ How screwy can this world get? Hamas chose to pursue war with Israel rather than the welfare of its Arab people—now it's prepared to accepts ‘charity’ from those ‘infidels’ it wants to destroy. Let the Arabs help their own—why is DEC involved. Could it be for straight forward lefwing political reasons?

I’m glad Sky and the BBC have told DEC to sod off! Sixty MPs have signed an early day motion, 11,000 BBC Trotskyites viewers have lodged complaints and hundreds of Trotskyites protesters have picketed BBC offices to protest against the corporation's stance—amongst them, Tony Benn, George Galloway, and other Trots with illegal Arab immigrants. Even that useless Druid, Rowan Williams, has joined the afray. My reaction is—they can sod off!

I have been fully aware that Britain was overstuffed with Rip-off merchants out to screw the customer for as much as they could, but it’s really sank home when I bought a number of items from eBay, items priced at £x and then find the same item on other websites at £3x or even more in the shops.

I’ve just bought a reverse osmosis water system for a total cost of £65, yet the very same item is advertised on various websites for up to £350 with phrases like, ‘money back guarantee,’ and ‘You can easily pay £400 plus,’ ‘Special Limited Offer Now On,’ while another website insisted that ‘The Next 10 orders can get one for the unbeatable price of ONLY £197,’ for the same one I paid £65 for on eBay. More nonsense such as, ‘No Hidden Extras,’ ‘Get One Now - Don’t be too late!’

This rant isn’t an ad for eBay, but an illustration of the price differentials—and of Companies ripping-off customers for the same item. Remember the new car price rip-off scandal of a few years ago when prices for cars were thousands of pounds cheaper on the continent for the same model? Recently, FOOD prices rose more quickly in Britain than in similar economies across the globe. TESCO had a bad Christmas as a result of that greed game. A published study puts the food inflation rate at 9.5 per cent in June. That is almost 65 per cent higher than in France, where the figure is 5.77 per cent, and a third higher than Germany’s 7.12 per cent.Local Council Tax, water, petrol, gas and electricity prices also rose ahead of other nations. Even the DVLC thinks it’s a Blue Chip Company—at least its pricing suggests this. There is a sense of rampant greed being the only game in town. Look at the APR% on store Credit Cards! Some run into 38% or more. A loan shark outfit that set up in a shop near me, offers loans at 97% APR and sucks in the gullible. Many global brands treat the UK as a ‘Treasure Island’, charging more for goods here than identical items sold in Europe and elsewhere. Companies make British customers pay huge mark-ups on gadgets, designer clothes and other products, simply because they can, and the British are infamous for not complaining. Restaurant wine is exorbitant and so are the meals, Garage bills a complete rip-off, Solicitors overcharge, Estate Agents charge what they feel like, High Street opticians rip you off, sandwiches are overpriced, etc.

What eBay has done for me, is to infuse the shopping experience with competition and economy. Bye bye Oxford St, M&S, Waitrose, Next, Nike, and others like you.

Mind you, the UK Government leads the way with the highest petrol tax in Europe. It promotes alcohol sales to gather in tax on this dangerous commodity, ending up with a country full of lager louts, in conjunction with the added tax on death-dealing tobacco. All explained by twisted arguments and excuses on why it does this to its population. Speed cameras ripping off motorists, congestion charges gathering more tax, the highest train fares in Europe and a host of other stealth taxes. Government of both ilk’s are the leaders in ripping off Britain’s population—so the companies are simply following the Government’s lead.

Shame on ye! Is this why we elect these self-serving politicians? So Bankers only followed the government when they thought they were printing money with the Sub-prime scandal. So much for Adam Smith’s laissez affair and the Cato Institute rot.

Ukraine Russia Gas Dispute — The Facts

Putin ordered Russian hikes for the price of gas in 2005/6, but not in 2006/7 when Russia’s stooge Yanukovich was Ukraine’s Prime Minister. Now when Tymoshenko is PM, cash-strapped Gazprom wants the Ukraine to pay market levels for gas, $450 per thousand cubic meters (mcm), basically to punish Ukraine for electing a Nationalist Government under Yushchenko and Tymoshenko and for demanding that the Russian Navy leave Crimea by 2017 as per signed agreement.

Ukraine returned the favour and hiked the TRANSIT cost of Russian gas going through the Ukrainian pipelines heading for Europe. Russia pays only $1.6/mcm/100 km for transit, or less than half the average European rate while Slovakia charges upwards of $4/Mcm/100 km for transit through its gas pipelines and only pays $270/mcm for its gas. Russia thus demands the European rate for its gas from Ukraine—while paying half the European rate for transit of its gas through Ukraine, and when it doesn’t get its way it cuts off supplies to Europe. Well, two can play at the hike game. Learning the lesson of Russia’s behaviour, the Ukraine has stockpiled 6 months of gas supply reserve for its own use in underground caverns.

Russia refuses to pay the increased TRANSIT cost and turned off gas using as a lame excuse the unverifiable accusation that the Ukraine was stealing Europe's Russian gas supplies through Ukraine—the Russian media is blasting the latter story throughout the world.

In reality, Russia is hoping to push the benefits of an under the Baltic NORDSTREAM gas pipeline bypassing Belarus in the north and then later a SOUTHSTREAM gas pipeline under the Back Sea bypassing the Ukraine in the south direct to the EU at an enormous cost.

Russia wants the EU to pay a large chunk of the cost of both the pipelines and this cynical ‘gas turn off stunt’ is the current pressure play in action to force the EU into seeing the sense of paying a large portion for both the unnecessary pipelines.

Lesson for the EU is to find another reliable supplier and bypass Russia NOT waste money on NORDSTREAM or SOUTHSTREAM gas pipelines which benefits only Russia. Use the money saved, to build pipelines bypassing Russia.

SICK HAMAS PRONOUNCEMENTS

Mahmoud Zahar, hiding at a secret location made a televised threat that Islamic fanatics would take revenge for Israel's Gaza assault by murdering Jewish children across the world. (now there’s a brave militant for you—typical Muslim thinking). This same “leader” cowering in a cellar, claimed victory for Hamas, saying it had succeeded in "destroying Israel's sense of security" with its rocket attacks. (anybody got a room for this lunatic in their loony bin?)

Iranian parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani: "The Zionists faced the powerful resistance of the zealous Palestinians ... the Zionists should know that Gaza will become their graveyard."

Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan: "We have prepared the statement of victory. Gaza will not be a picnic. Gaza will be a graveyard."

"Your incursion into Gaza will not be a walk in the park and Gaza will become your cemetery," Ismail Radwan, a Hamas spokesman said.

No Gaza incursion would have occurred without the incessant and pointless rocket firings from Gaza by Hamas.
